What we process and why

1. Your order — name, email address, order number and amount, received from Lemon Squeezy when you buy. We use them to deliver your personal download link, stamp your license, send you a fresh link when you ask, provide updates and handle refunds (performance of the contract). We keep order records for as long as you can download updates and as long as tax law requires (7 years in the Netherlands for business records). Payment details are handled only by Lemon Squeezy; we never see your card.
2. Download links — a random token, a download counter and dates, so links can expire and can't be abused.
3. Instagram messages — when you comment a keyword (like PROMPT) under our posts or send us a DM with a keyword, Instagram sends us your Instagram user ID, username and the comment or message text so we can send you the link you asked for. We store only a scrambled (hashed) marker for up to 14 days so you don't get the same message twice. Legal basis: your request / our legitimate interest in answering it.
4. Website statistics — Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
5. Server logs — our host keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, time, page) for security.

Who helps us (processors)

• Lemon Squeezy, LLC (USA) — checkout and payments, as Merchant of Record under its own privacy policy: https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy
• Vercel Inc. — hosting, file storage (EU region, Frankfurt) and analytics.
• Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) — sending our emails.
• Meta Platforms — Instagram messaging, under Meta's own terms.

Transfers outside the EU are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

Our site sets no tracking cookies. The Lemon Squeezy checkout sets its own cookies when you open it.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, a copy of your data, or object to processing: email info@northbyte.online. If we delete your order data, we can no longer send you new links or updates. You can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local authority.
